Winkler, MB – Let’s talk about Genesis House:

For the past 35 years, Genesis House has been actively supporting women and children by providing safety and counselling. Through education, counselling and quality programming, women can explore options to better their future in a safe, supportive and caring environment. Genesis House advocates to end domestic violence through community education and awareness.  

The house itself has the capacity to home 5 women and 11 children. The shared living room sees a lot of traffic, especially with children playing in the space, and they were in dire need of upgrading the lighting to brighten up the space. With the support of BSI Insurance and our Because We Care initiative, Genesis House was able update their living room by purchasing lighting for the space in their house that will surely help brighten someone’s future.

Because We Care – Because we care about our customers, employees, and the communities we operate in, we created the Because We Care Initiative. Through this initiative we donate roughly $25,000 annually to communities we operate in and around. This initiative allows us to contribute to individual and community causes as well as larger community projects.
