Altona, MB – More than books.
There is an African proverb that says “It takes a village to raise a child” which means that an entire community of people must provide for and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. The people of Altona see this to be true and always look to improve their community for their children. The South Central Regional Library (Altona Library) is fundraising for a new location. They have run out of space in their current location, and they are also looking to locate in a more centralized area of town with more accessibility.
Because We Care, BSI Insurance has donated $1000 to help reach their goal for the costs associated with the move. Did you know that the Altona Library offers so much more than books? From free Wifi, inclusive programming, and access to online resources just to name a few, and they cater not only towards children as they have activities for teens and adults!
